Change We Can Believe In That Was Too Good To Be True: Obama’s Promises On Lobbyists

National Journal checked the names of 267 individuals appointed or nominated to various senior positions in the Obama administration against the Senate Office of Public Records database of registered lobbyists. The database has records dating back to 1999.
…..
30 individuals, or about 11 percent of the total….were registered to lobby at some point within the past five years.

You may recall that during the campaign, Obama famously promised that lobbyists “won’t find a job in my White House.”

  1. Based on what we knew during the campaign and now after 100 days, isn’t is kind of odd that we don’t really know quite what to expect from our President?

    So many of his statements and positions have proven to be a charade, it causes one to wonder what exactly he’ll do next, despite whatever he has said in the past.

    Has a politician in modern political history been this openly dishonest?
