Evil, Racist New Arizona Law

Check out the evil new Arizona law:

“Every alien…shall at all times carry with him and have in his personal possession any certificate of alien registration or alien registration receipt card issued to him…Any alien who fails to comply…shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and…fined not to exceed $100 or be imprisoned not more than 30 days, or both.

Oh, wait. That’s 8 USC 1304(e). Federal law. Been around for decades. Surprisingly, it has not turned our nation into Nazi Germany.

    What an awesome article you link to. I echo her conclusion at the end.

    The Arizona law is not about race; it’s not an attack on Latinos or legal immigrants. It’s about one thing and one thing only: making immigration enforcement a reality. It is time for a national debate: Do we or don’t we want to enforce the country’s immigration laws? If the answer is yes, the Arizona law is a necessary and lawful tool for doing so. If the answer is no, we should end the charade of inadequate, half-hearted enforcement, enact an amnesty now, and remove future penalties for immigration violations.
